Wassail and Seize the Day!

Nouveau wines are bottled early in the season for the first toast to the vines…perfect for Wassail.

Our Pinot Frais is a fresh Rosé made in a dry Nouveau style from Pinot Noir grapes.  Come to our winery and give it a try!  We only have ten cases left!

The photo is of a leaf from one of the Pinot Noir vines in our vineyard – the cane was slightly damaged and so its leaves turned an exciting (and unusual) red-green-pink.

As we celebrate Wassail, let’s toast to the exuberant Richard Karlo, winemaker, entrepreneur, neighbour and friend, who passed away last week.

You lived well.  You showed us how to put ourselves out there and reach for our dreams.  I wish there was more time to get to know you better.
