Faith, Hope and Farming

I never realized how much farming depends on Hope.

Things I’ve hoped or:

I hope it rains.

I hope it doesn’t rain.

I hope there isn’t a frost.

I hope the weather doesn’t warm up too much, too long, too early.

I hope for good set.

I hope the tractor starts.

I hope I only break things when the stores are open.

I hope those wild turkeys find another vineyard to eat next year.

I hope the birds continue to be afraid of the distress calls we broadcast.

I hope the grapes grow well.

I hope people love our wine.

I hope I don’t lean on my friends and neighbours too much.

I hope I don’t go broke.

I hope.
