The vineyards at By Chadsey’s Cairns are at risk of being uprooted due to financial strains. Broken Stone Winery had planned to expand rapidly to finance the vineyard operations, but the pandemic impeded this growth. The potential loss of these vineyards, integral to the Prince Edward County’s wine industry and tourism, threatens community value and the regional economy.
